The south west of the state is famous for some great wines that include, chardonnay, Riesling, Verdelho, Tempranillo, Viognier, sangiovese, merlots and shiraz.

Carlaminda Wines

Located in the productive Ferguson Valley and here you will find Semillon, Viognier, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, Shiraz, Tempranillo and Nebbiolo. This small winery makes some exceptional wines many of which are winners and they have 2 Shiraz styles. One is aged in American Oak casks and the other in French oak. While you are here sample some wonderful French country cuisine at the Carlaminda Wines Bistro.

Capel Vale

The cellar door here is open daily from 10am to 4pm and there is a restaurant also. Much of the fresh produce for the restaurant is grown at the winery or it is sourced locally. The winery is next to the Capel River with a wide variety of water fowl and birdlife. You can chose from chardonnay, Riesling and cabernet sauvignon, merlot and Shiraz from a select range of labels. You can buy from a range of Capel Vale merchandise and some rare wines from recent Museum release labels.

Bonking Frog wines

This boutique winery only makes delicious merlots for your enjoyment and is located south east of Bunbury at Boyanup. The name comes from the local Banjo Frog that makes a bonk noise that can be heard all over the winery. The winery is on the banks of the Preston River.

Palmer wines

This winery is at Dunsborough and was established in 1977 and is a family owned establishment with a restaurant and function centre. Many of the wines are Gold medal winners and include chardonnay Semillon sauvignon blanc, rose, shiraz, merlot, malbec and some sparkling wines.

Willow Bridge Estate

Located in Dardanup in the Ferguson Valley you will find some lovely chardonnays, rose, a delightful sticky, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc, sparkling whites, merlot, shiraz and Tempranillo. The wines here have won many medals and awards as well as most successful at the Perth Wine Show.

House of Cards

Located in Yallingup near Dunsborough on Caves Road, the name signifies the gamble involved in making wine. This is a single vineyard winery producing, merlot, Shiraz, rose, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon. The cellar door also has a great range of local artists work on display and is open 7 days a week.

Saint Aiden Wines

Located in Dardanup in the Ferguson Valley the grapes grown here make some wonderful wines including chardonnay, sparkling chardonnay, Semillon, sauvignon blanc, cabernet, Tempranillo and Muscat. These award winning wines are made at Juniper Estate in Margaret River and available through the cellar door in Dardanup.

Wild Bull Brewery

Found in the wonderful Ferguson Valley is these handcrafted beers, additive and preservative free. Try Amber Ale, Stout, Irish Special, Bitter and Irish varieties. Located in Ferguson, just a short drive from Bunbury and open from Thursday to Sunday, grab a great feed here as well. Try a beef burger, steak or chicken pie made from fresh seasonal and local produce.

Moody Cow Brewery

Located in the Ferguson Valley all beers made here are free from additives and preservatives and include Pilsener, Ale, Pale Ale, Irish Ale and Dark Ale. They also make a fruity drink called Zest that is a low alcohol lime and lemon lager. As well as great beer there is a great menu with daily specials and desserts.
